I'm late to the game having only found the show about a week ago and I have only seen season one....but I loved it and wanted to read the book right away. First, know that the reader does not have to had watched any of the show in order to read the book and that the story in the book is very independent to what happened on the show. There are more characters, for example, and the plot is original. That said, this was pretty darn good. There were times when Sunshine got on my nerves with her lack of ambition to learn anything on her own (seriously, large chunks of time are missing in the story-what is Sunshine doing?) She has nerves of steel one minute and is lashing out the next. Sigh. Other than that, the story is solid and frightening. The new characters are awesome (I love Nolan-he reminds me of a young Giles). I want more, so that means the book is a hit for me. Also, cover-love, thy name is The Haunting of Sunshine Girl. Goodread.
