The amazing world building continues in this conclusion to the Dominion of the Fallen trilogy. I have found the Paris of this world to be my favorite part of the series. This installment moved along nicely and the major action points make sense in relation to each other. But this is more a story of family, of minds, and hearts than action. Add in a big dose of post-colonial analysis concerning the relationship between Vietnam and France, well there is a lot to chew on in this story. I found that chewing a bit slow and repetitive. That was distracting at first then I started to see it coming and it made my sigh, I don't feel like it was needed. Overall, a good conclusion to the series.
