i definitely enjoyed this book more than the other louise miller (city girl's guide to country baking) i recently read, so that's something i guess.
most of this plot wasn't predictable, per se, but it seemed to drag on for longer than it should have. it was nice to get that humble, small-town mood from this book, but unfortunately i had had enough of it about 30% of the way through. the romantic plot (just like city girl's guide) was very predictable and corny. i did like the take home message of the book, but i don't feel as though it was touched on or stressed enough. overall, a fun and quick kitschy read, but not something i'd really recommend.
