I'm very familiar with the classic Watty Piper The Little Engine That Could and I'm always fascinated when new anniversary editions of classics are republished. Before today, I had not experienced the artwork of award-winning Dan Santat, although, I have his work on my to-read list because of being an award winner. The text is the classic we all know, but the illustrations are different and vibrant. Overall, I enjoyed the experience of reading this eGalley and I'd be intrigued to read more illustrated by Dan Santat in the future. While not necessarily my cup of tea on the personified clowns or dolls, I did adore the landscapes and trains.
I read a borrowed digital eGalley via Edelweiss. March 2020. I have now received a copy from the Dolly Parton's Imagination Library for #adragonviking as of September 2020.
