The Lost Hero

I don't know what it is about Rick Riordan's works that never fail to have me in a chokehold. It's something about the Percy Jackson universe that is so comforting for me to read.

The Lost Hero had a plot that was so well thought out and made me never want to put this book down. I loved and appreciated that it included and mentioned characters from the Percy Jackson series. The minute that Annabeth appeared and Percy was mentioned I think I cheered because they are so special to me and this felt like coming home.

Leo was such a highlight character for me. He was full of pure sunshine and he never failed to make me laugh with his quick wit and banter. I can't wait to get to know these characters more. I have a feeling they are going to mean the same to me as Rick's other characters.

I am so excited to read the rest of this series.
