A downward trend in quality and there is nothing to be gained (in my view) from progressing beyond The Lost World, which stands out as peacock among ducks, or something.

Overall, as a collection it is dragged down to its lowest majority rating of 2 stars, but don't let this stop you reading The Lost World, as it is really good.
