A Tale of Murder, Insanity & the Making of the Oxford English Dictionary

This was a good story in need of slightly better editing. It was a fascinating look at the men who, over several decades of work, compiled the first comprehensive dictionary, and I enjoyed each of their back stories (though the stuff about how mental illness was treated at the time [or not treated, in the late 1800s] made me shudder).
My main complaints are that the author repeated bits of the story quite frequently, and he was also prone to ending chapters and switching subjects right as things were starting to get real interesting.
