A child and a grandmother watch birds together, and the grandmother teaches the child about the birds.
One day the child finds a dead bird. “When a living thing dies its body stops working, “ the grandmother tells the child. “But its love is still here with us, in everything and everyone it has ever loved.”
The grandmother grows older and passes away. The child takes comfort in seeing flocks of birds after the grandmother's death.
A lovely story that offers solace in nature.
