A simple folk tale is shared here about a wife and child who waited for the return of their husband and father. As time passed without his return, the wife cried out to the gods and was changed into stone. There the original story ends, but the author of this version was not satisfied with this, and adds a tidy happily-ever-after. I'm glad this story has now been shared with a wider audience.
