OK this...this is why I read historical fiction in spurts. It always breaks my heart, makes me cry, and then picks up the pieces and tapes them back together again. It's a lot to go through...

I absolutely love how this showcases the strength of women in a time of great fear and uncertainty. The courage, the bravery and the hope that shines through them certainly makes for an epic read.

Definitely recommend this one.
