The Seven or Eight Deaths of Stella Fortuna

I thought the voice used was too remote from the characters, making it hard to feel close to them. I was reading someone else's family history but not feeling a part of it. Nonetheless, it was interesting to read about Italian village life of the early 1900s and then the Italian immigrant experience.
