What a beauty of a book! This is by far my favourite/the best book I have read in regards to genuine healing—especially from abusive and neglectful parents (which some are not able to admit for whatever reasons, preferring minimization, denial and/or premature—ungrieved—forgiveness). It is grounded embodiment at its finest. I especially enjoyed the numerous references to poets and mystics.

I don't actually think the subtitle is needed. There is so much more in this book than blame and forgiveness. The power in learning/choosing to feel and witness emotions/experiences that have caused us such immense pain and suffering is a gateway to deep love, joy, and liberation. Through facing it all, in our own time and in our own ways, we authentically reclaim our true essence.

I listened to this as an audiobook, and want to buy a copy to join my other most beloved books on my shelves.
