The Waste Lands

Wow this took me a long time to get through. I don't know whether I'm just not in the mood for King or I've gone off this series but there were times when I couldn't stand it, all the parts with Detta Walker made my skin crawl especially as I listened to this on audio and, whilst the narrator was brilliant, his reading of Detta just makes her character even worse (which is actually a credit to him!). There's also a disturbing amount of sexual references which just seem weird reading this now, I know it was written a while ago but still. I may carry on with the series some time in the future but for now it's on hold.
