I think my boyfriend is currently questions his choice in women right now by the way I just sobbed to him after the epilogue. This book was everything I could have ever wanted.
I told my boyfriend how while I never felt the lack of love and support from family like Lily went through but I empathized with her to the fullest extent. The character development from both character but specifically Lily was perfection. In the beginning, we see a reserved and for a lack of better word, push over in every possible way. She felt unseen in every one of her relationships from the door man to her family and so called friends.
It wasn't until she decided to do one thing for herself and book a date with the company, The Perfect Gentleman, to finally feel heard even if she meant she had to say for it. What she didn't expect is the man coming on the date was the CEO, Callan, who also happened to be the man she had a meet cute with in the Starbucks line.
Oh my god Callan. He was the perfect book boyfriend in every which way. He did everything in his power to make this girl feel comfortable and supported through the entirety of their relationship. Over the first few dates, their chemistry blossoms and Callan decided he wants to pursue something with this women who has undoubtedly stolen his every waken thought.
I could write so much more about this book but god if you read this, let this be your sign to give this book a try. This will go down as one of my favorite books of all time, mark my words.
