This is the second book I've attempted by this author and both times I've just felt completely disconnected from the writing.

I don't mind being plonked into a world with little explanation as long as it's a strong interesting start and we get information drip fed as we go, but 40% into this and I feel like I knew barely anything about the world or the characters.

It's a shame because the premise sounded so good, but I think this just isn't the author for me. 🤷‍♀️
