Welcome to Night Vale

The overall writing was something I couldn't get into. I had a hard time caring about characters without any sense of forward motion from them. Everything I did read seemed pointless fluff. I got that the town is weird and strange things happen but is it necessary to talk about every single mundane task that they perform?
