This book was quite different from what I was expecting. We have a MM romance that flows easily throughout the book and avoids some of the common tropes and tensions of the contemporary romances while touching important mental health issues. What I liked about the book:- The romance flows easily, and we don't have a break up or major discussion on the third act.- The book mentions several important topics: Alcoholism, child abandonment and PTSD. Albeit these are difficult topics, it is still possible to write something positive including them.- This is a very personal debut and I think [a:Chip Pons 22154287 Chip Pons https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1647061630p2/22154287.jpg] was very brave to be so open and write it.What I think it could have been done better:- The romance felt a bit too insta for my particular taste- The third act felt unconnected to the rest of the book.Recommended for contemporary romance readers.
