I enjoyed this book and especially Isaac Mizrahi's narration. I think he should continue to write. I'm sure he has more information for another memoir, but I'm inclined to think he is capable of writing something else.
I love Lord John Grey and the way Diana Gabaldon uses these novels and novellas to connect the events in all of the Other Novels in the series.
I loved this book. As always, Ms. Trigiani depicts family and the Italian American experience with live and humor.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The drama associated with the making of one of America's and perhaps the world's greatest films is just as film worthy as it's subject.
The audiobook reminded me of why James Thurber stories were so funny. His ability identify the quirkiness in us all never ceases to amuse me.
Gabriel Allon returns with a new adventure and continues to entertain us all. Daniel Silva's continuation of this master spy's story is very entertaining. I'm so happy to catch up with some of my favorite secondary characters.
I've always thought I understood and appreciated Steve Van Zandt's talent. This memoir exposed how little I knew about the depth of his talent and intelligence; let alone his strong character. This memoir is not just an autobiography of one of Bruce Springteen's closest friends and artistic partners; it is a memoir of an artist.
I'm new to Elin Hildebrand and her Nantucket novels. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and Erin Bennet's narration. I have to read more of her summer novels and I want to read more novels about the comings and goings at high end hotels.
One of the best cozy mysteries I've ever read. Juneau Blacks use of the creature's characteristics really enhance the reading experience.
I listened to the audiobook and really loved the pace of this novel. The action was so quick it felt like a ride on the train in the title. The book received a 5 star rating because I didn't want the novel to end and rush to the conclusion in equal measure. I can't wait to read more from Isaka.
I'm a sucker for books about baseball and the fact that it involves the Chicago Cubs makes this book especially enjoyable. I've been an avid reader of John Grisham's for a number of years, but I especially enjoy novels like this that step away from the court room. This story of forgiveness and redemption is very touching. Even the most unloveable character has the opportunity to find s place in your heart.
Well worth the read!
As a woman of privilege, I found this discussion of racism during the war years particularly disturbing. I'm sure African Americans are well informed about the treatment of African American troops, but I think this book is a great attempt to educate and elevate our understanding of the heroism these troops.
This novel and the entire series is a guilty pleasure. It's a wonderful, light, and entertaining combination of historical fiction and mystery.
An absolutely lovely and well written fantasy. I have to thank my niece for introducing me to this novel.
I enjoyed this book. It brought the story to its conclusion. Unfortunately, I missed the historical and literary aspects of the first two novels of the series.
A wonderful read! Until recently, I had no idea that this movie inspired the film. The novel is proof that the book is usually better than the movie...and I liked the movie!
I previously read this novel under its original title Rosie Dunne and recently listened to the audio version. I felt compelled to write a review of this sweet little novel that has stayed with me over the years.
This epistolary novel tells the story of friends through emails, cards, and letters between Rosie and her best friend Alex as well as communications with other friends, relatives, and other people encountered in their lives. It ended up being a love story, with several twists and turns and I really enjoyed returning to this story.
