I really enjoyed this book. I particularly enjoyed the descriptions of artistic technique.
I have enjoyed all of the books in this series, but I really don't see what Nolan found so interesting about Eve. I especially liked Nolan, but I found Eve to be a little to whiney. I'm interested to find out what my be in store for Nolan's brother Rhett.
I found this book challenging in a number of ways. The empathy I felt for both the narrator and his victim mother left me emotionally rung out through most of the book. As observed by others, the author often attributed to the 5 year old narrator more adult comprehension about his circumstances. I really did like the book and have recommended to many people.
I read and I cried and enjoyed the afternoon it took to read this book. Unlike other emotionally evocative reads, I doubt this will be of those books that will last in my consciousness.
I gave the book three stars, because I think the novel accomplished its goal of communicating the emotions surrounding the lives and deaths of young people.
I really enjoyed this book. I marvel at all of the research required to even contemplate a story like this. I would love an opportunity to discuss the author's writing process.
I really enjoyed this book. The majority of the action takes place in Bologna, Italy and involves walking around the city.
A lovely story told through the eyes of science and a family caught up in the results of medical experimentation.
This was a really enjoyable audiobook. I hope Dolly and James Patterson team up for another book!
I enjoyed Boyfriend Material, but I absolutely loved Husband Material! I laughed out loud throughout the book and enjoyed all of characters.
This is such a wonderful and surprising book. The main character, Billy Summers, is best described as a good man who does bad things. Despite his less than clean living past, he has managed to be able to survive with a tarnished soul capable of some level of goodness.
I read this book based on a BookTok recommendation. It was entirely unexpected and enjoyable. I need to read more of Alice Feeney's books.
I really enjoyed the story and the narration. I'm also a sucker for novels set in Chicago. I'm waiting for another Dispatcher story!
A great book that I didn't want to end. I really enjoyed reading about the real and imagined science used in this book.
I found this book so moving. Knowing that the suffering endured by Pheby Brown and her family was not unique makes this novel a very emotional book to read. Sadeqa Johnson's telling of this story documents the brutality that slaves endured, while still representing the strength of the human spirit. Knowing that Pheby endured all of this cruelty only for the love of her children will stick with me for a long time.
I loved this book. As to be expected from a book written by T.J. Klune, it is a story told with humor. It's full of interesting characters telling a story about human relationships.
A must read by all book lovers and Francophiles, this book provides a unique view of Paris during the war and the simple daily resistance of book lovers. It also highlights the importance of connections between people and the unknown impact those connections have on the people we interact with.
An important book to read. Mr. Farrow should be proud of this work and the work he continues to do on behalf of the disadvantaged at all levels of our lives. All women benefit from his pursuit of this story.
I really enjoyed this book and believe it would make a great series. All the of the characters are described in such wonderful detail.
Having read other T.J. Klune novels, I was ready to experience a well written story with interesting characters. I was not disappointed and would love to learn more about these magical creatures.
As recommended by a friend, I also listened to the audiobook. Daniel Henning's narration brought the characters to life using voices fitting the characters described by the author.
