I'm surprised by how much I enjoyed this. It was highly entertaining, despite all its flaws.
I'll keep reading the other books.

Even though Patrick annoyed me in Gametime, the previous book in the Moo U series, I was curious about his story and I'm happy that it didn't disappoint. The set up to this book reminded me so much of One Tree Hill (Haley and Nathan)! Anyway, I love a good tutor-sports star romance, so I was very excited about this one.
Patrick was a great surprise to me. I wasn't expecting to like him from the get-go but I did. I think it helped it wasn't shown on page Patrick partying and sleeping around, I liked that the story started when Patrick had to start getting his grades up otherwise he could lose his spot in the team. That end up leading him to Ellie.
At first, I thought Ellie was too sweet and innocent for Patrick. But she also surprised me! She was a very interesting character. The fact they were so different but also so alike was gold! I wasn't a fan of the way they met and their instant connection but I enjoyed how their relationship progressed. I absolutely loved how Patrick embraced the his feelings for Ellie and how they supported each other. Their chemistry was amazing and there were a lot of funny, sweet and steamy moments.
This was a very emotional story. Patrick and Ellie went through a lot. Their relationships with their parents, their expectations and dreams, Ellie's struggle with her PHD program choice, Patrick's indecision about going pro or finishing his degree, the uncertainty of their professional futures, the fact they could be forced to go on separate ways after college, their deep feelings for each other and a very sad and dramatic event... my heart broke for them.
Overall, Overtime was a beautiful, sweet, steamy, entertaining, emotional read with great characters and remarkable character growth. A great addition to the Moo U series.

Enjoyable, cute but I was not a fan of the lying to your audience part. Shay was also annoying at some parts.
However, it still was a very entertaining and funny book.
The podcast eps were perfect to listen to on audio and it probably influenced my rating.
This was really good! Creepy and spooky vibes, solid mystery and a mix of weird, unreliable characters.
The ending was somewhat unsatisfying. I still enjoyed it a lot so I definitely recommend this one, especially if you listen to the audiobook.
During the first 10-15% of this book, I was thinking that this would be a SK miss for me, but then I really started to get into the story.
This felt like a 80's Stephen King and I really enjoyed it.
There were some details that made me feel like the story dragged a little, but I definitely recommend this book.

I usually like K.A. Linde's books but I'm not a fan of this one.
It was okay but I just didn't felt like there really was a doubt about who Lila truly loved. Not for a second. I guessed pretty early on how it would end, so I was never truly invested in the push and pull between Lila and Ash/Lila and Cole.
This was creepy, had very interesting elements and I couldn't put it down. Read it in one sitting!
Really enjoyed the writing, I definitely need to read more Alex North's books.
This is the most adorable story about ghosts, family and witches.
So sweet! Really enjoyed the audiobook.
Not a fan of Drew and Charlie's relationship. I don't really feel the chemistry between them.
Noah is the best character in Charlie Travesty and we don't get enough of him.
The mystery is interesting, though.
This was a very weird book. I enjoyed it, loved the science fiction aspect of it and it seemed, at least to me, the topic was very well researched. The concept was definitely unique and I was intrigued by where the story was going.
I think that the fact I thought this was a thriller impacted my enjoyment, it didn't really fit the genre in my opinion. That isn't necessarily bad, but it did impact my enjoyment, while listening to it, considering that I kept expecting something to happen for it to become a thriller. If that makes sense.
Anyway, this story is very well written, has some mystery (not much though) and it kept me interested. The ending... wasn't my favorite. Or maybe I missed the point.
Overall, I liked it for its uniqueness and it's definitely an entertaining book. I just didn't love it.
Noah is EVERYTHING in this one. Drunk Charlie is annoying... Not much goes on in this one.
The ending is pretty good.
3 stars for Noah.
This was absolutely fantastic! What an amazing story! I loved it!
The trials weren't exactly complex, but this story is SO much more than that.
I couldn't stopped reading this book, read it in a day (I skipped lunch to keep reading it!).
And then that ending blew me away! AWESOME!
Can't wait to read The Gilded Cage, it just became my #1 most anticipated release of 2021.
Full review to come
This was mind blowing. Exciting. Thrilling. Confusing. Dramatic. Kept me on the edge of my seat.
Blake Crouch is an amazing writer and I'll definitely read more of his books.
Recursion is still my #1, though.
Fake relationship is one of my favorite tropes, it gives us so many FUN moments!
The Dating Plan was a really sweet, cute, quirky, entertaining and steamy romance.
I enjoyed Daisy's humor, her intelligence and her love for Marvel (very funny moments regarding her clothes...), her family was wonderful (specially her aunts, I loved them!) and I really liked how we got to see her growing into this confident, badass female CEO.
Liam was a bad boy, with a chip on his shoulder, with some heavy issues regarding his family. I enjoyed Liam's character but I never truly felt he was a bad boy...
I loved their chemistry, their steamy moments, their banter and their obvious connection. I also enjoyed how both of them needed to overcome some issues about themselves before they could deal with what they were really feeling for each other.
The downside was that Daisy's grudge lasted too long (it was 10 years ago...!) and there were a lot of things happening that kept taking the focus out of their romance to the point I felt they didn't had much time together on page, if that's make sense.
Anyway, I still enjoyed this one a lot.
My heart wasn't ready for this book. I loved it. So many important topics, great characters, great slow burn, amazing chemistry, funny banter, highly entertaining and so emotional.
A LOT was going on. An emotional roller-coaster.
Why it is a 4 star: I don't think we get enough time with Adrian and Vanessa together before the drama hits.
This was a cute, quirky mystery with good character development.
It relied heavily on movie references at times, but I had fun listening to it.
The Worst Best Man was a fun read! I enjoyed the banter between Lina and Max a lot. These two characters were great and I loved their character growth. I loved the moments with Lina's family too, there were so many hilarious moments. The romance was great with lots of chemistry and steamy moments, even though it was a slow burn. A super entertaining read!

Varsity Captain is Lucas' POV of the events in Varsity Heartbreaker, the first book in the Varsity series. I was intrigued by Lucas' perspective during the time I read the first book. I understood why it was important to get only June's POV during that book. But I wanted to know what was going on in Lucas' head and heart. That's the reason I was very excited when Varsity Captain was announced.
It was fantastic to be back in the Varsity series world. I absolutely love these characters. I enjoyed how Ginger Scott managed to write this story. Lucas' voice sounded very true to his character and I liked that it made me understand his actions and options better. It wasn't easy at the beginning of the book, but ultimately my heart broke for Lucas and what he was going through. His relationship with his parents was explored in this book. It definitely helped me understand why Lucas made the choice of cutting ties with June. I loved how he slowly started to confront his own choices and how he started to get closer to June while doing that. Lucas' character growth was beautifully written. I have to say there was one aspect that I still wanted more of in this book: Lucas and Tory's friendship. Tory is still my favorite character in the Varsity series and I wanted more Tory in Varsity Captain.
Overall, I enjoyed Varsity Captain a lot. It was a perfect complement to the Varsity series.
Sadly, I was never invested in Second First Impressions.
I disliked Teddy and Ruthie. Both characters lacked depth and neither of them had any growth IMO. The reason Ruthie lived her life like she did felt flat and didn't make any sense. Being inside Ruthie's head was cringey and the way she thought about Teddy was awkward. There was no chemistry and the relationship felt forced. There were a few interesting, funny secondary characters and that was it.
My dislike of the main characters made it tough to keep listening to the audiobook. I put it off for more than a month, thinking that maybe I wasn't in the right mood for it, but after I got back to it I felt the same way. Can't believe I finished it.
This one didn't work for me.

I loved the setting! Moose Springs is amazing!
All the characters are great, even the secondary characters. I loved Zoey, I liked Graham a lot and their dynamic was very charming. But at a point, things started to drag a little and the hate on the tourists took a very unexpected turn... I found it a little repetitive too.
I still enjoyed it a lot though, so I'll read the next book in the series.
This book was a surprise for me. I was intrigued by the premise but unsure I would like it.
This was so good! The writing was addictive and I didn't want to stop listening to it. The story is captivating for sure. I couldn't make up my mind about what was going on. The way it was told kept me guessing. There's a lot to process about it.
I think after a certain development, it dragged a little bit but I still enjoyed it very much.
A great debut!

I enjoyed Electric Idol more than Neon Gods. I liked Eros and Psyche more as characters than Hades and Persephone and that is probably the reason I was more invested in their story.
I loved Psyche. She was fierce! She was also kind and sweet, smart and cunning, bold, super confident, and sometimes not as confident as she seemed to be. She was flawed. A fantastic character. I loved Eros too! His relationship with his mother, his struggles, the way he dealt with his feelings, his sex appeal, his sense of humor. For sure, a complex character. Both of these characters felt real and flawed. The more we got to know them, the more their connection made sense. I understood why Eros was intrigued by Psyche and why Psyche was tempted by Eros. And they were perfect for each other!
The chemistry between Eros and Psyche was HOT, HOT, HOT. Holly hell, the sexual tension between these two was incredible. Even though it felt a little instalove, their emotional connection was palpable. The steamy scenes were great. Nothing over the top with little to no kinks. However, it still worked so well for these two characters.
The world is simple but engaging. The intrigue worked better here than in Neon Gods, maybe because we got to see several more threads between the characters and the story unfolds in Olympus. So many power plays!
The family bond between Psyche and her sisters, and even her mother, Demeter, was one of my favorite aspects of this story. A strong family dynamic with some level of dysfunction, despite Demeter's lust for power. I'm very curious about Callisto's story!
Overall, super entertaining and a fun read. I'll keep reading the series as soon as the next book is out.
This book was a revelation. An immersive experience, I was so invested in these characters and the story. The world was fantastic! A very entertaining, twisty world that kept me guessing. I have to say I was expecting an “in your face” ending, so I was a little disappointed about where it left off. But I had a great time reading it and I can't wait to get my hands on book 2!
Note to self: Read the Caraval series!
