I enjoyed a lot about this book. It was really entertaining and the cast of characters was really enjoyable, especially their different interactions with each other. However, I will say I spotted the villain as soon as they were introduced and that was a bit annoying
Overall the story was interesting predictable. It was entertaining but I don't imagine this story will stick with me for very long.
This book was definitely interesting. And the ending was very sweet. But I think I was just really thrown off by how the adults in the book behave and talk and act. It was extremely off-putting but maybe it was supposed to be. I like the idea but ultimately not much happened if anything. And I don't think there is enough character development for nothing to have happened.
This is like nothing I've read before. The melding of horror and romance was so interesting. My reaction from one moment to the next was often "ew wtf" to "aww that's so sweet". This is a story I will be thinking of often.
This book was honestly such a hard let down for me. Coming off the the very abrupt ending to the first book I was expected the speed to continue on into this second book. It did not. In fact even though there was a strict due date to this book it seemed the majority of it was spent with the characters not doing much of anything. The level of the relationships also seemed very off to me. It seems some of the ‘doing nothing' time could have been used to make the depth of the relationships seem more believable. Super bummed this book did not live up to the first
I really enjoyed this. The narration could have been better but it was beautifully written story about such a real life tragedy.
The story was interesting and entertaining overall, but I did not like any of the characters.
It's easy to see why this book is liked by so many. The tragedies in this story have already happened there are no surprises there. The idea of receiving unexpected closure is just heartwarming. Inspires hope even after tragic losses.
Not at all what I was expecting. Each of the ‘adventures' ended in anticlimactic conversations that put forth idealistic truths about books. Which honestly anyone who picked up this book would probably already believe to a certain extent. This book felt like it was meant to lecture people. Not fun.
Fun retelling of Carrie. I would recommend listening to this one as it's a full cast production.
I was not expecting the romance on this book and was not a fan of it. I found the magic really interesting and wish the author would have leaned into that and building that out more. I also found the relationships between Victoria and her crew mates interesting and very complicated.
This book sucked in me in so quickly. Loved the characters and the family dynamic. Loved the fantasy and magic and level of mystery. The steady uncovering of Bri's family history as it relates to Greek mythology was super unique and interesting. The ending seemed a bit abrupt but over all very enjoyable ready.
When I first started listening to this book I thought it might be too slow for me to enjoy. I was extremely wrong. This book kept me on the hook the entire time. I felt like I was following breadcrumbs along well. Also getting to view complex characters and character dynamics. Overall. I really enjoyed this. Would recommend to anyone as a female reader. It was relatable and it filled me with rage and also with some relief
