I read this book when I was in about 5th grade and again recently (I'm 23 now). this is one of my favorite books and the one that started my book loving. It is a very good starter book for kids that want to read about different worlds and I recommend it to any kids that don't like reading or are just starting out reading or to anyone else that wants a easy happy book to read.
I didn't know what to expect when I started this book. This wasn't because I didn't know what it was about, I had read the summary. I didn't know what to expect because I had never read a book on someone's persecution for their faith because I am a fairly new christian.
I ended up really liking the way Brunson spoke about his experiences and how he had gone from wanting to stay in Turkey permanently to wanting to be able to leave the country. It was also nice to see that someone with that strong of a faith can still wrestle with it. I'm also glad that Brunson did not shy away from or gloss over talking about some of the harder things he went through while he was imprisoned, I think it really helps to keep the story compelling even though you know he ends up released (since he is writing the book himself). I look forward to finding similar books now and reading them!
I recieved a copy of this book through a Goodreads giveaway
I'm invested in the characters, I can't wait for book 2 so we can continue the story! I really liked all three different kinds of creatures and hope to see more of the sirens in the future!
I didn't like this book as much as the first book in the series/companionship but I still really liked it. I feel like the books follow about the same plot but I like the different characters and I like how the Anna couple was in this book. Can't wait to read Isla.
I loved this book. I liked how the 2 narrators had different color type. Very action packed and I liked the romance side story as well. I can't wait to start Prodigy next. I have already recommended this book to a friend and he is borrowing it right now.
I expected this book to be a lot different than it was. Some of the writing was good but I felt like the relationships were forced and moved to fast. I did, however, not expect the villain to be who it was.
I liked this book as much as the first, possibly a little bit less because of some of the situations that Alek and Deryn get themselves into that could have been avoided. Over all a good book. can't wait for part 3.
I like the way this story unfolded. I love the characters and the romance. I would have liked it if there wasn't a love triangle but I am coming to accept that they happen in most contemporary YA romances.
I was sent this book from a Goodreads giveaway.
I'm really glad I received this book as an ARC. The Mall drew me in from the beginning and had me laughing throughout. I did not expect to become so attached to the characters and what happened to them but I found myself trying to read as much as I could to find out what happened next. I wish I had this book when I had first graduated high school and worked at a clothing store in my local mall.
Naomi was kind of frustrating in parts of the book and I didn't like the ending much but the story as a whole was a fun journey and I liked the basic plot.
This was actually better than I expected it to be honestly. The movie did not do it justice
I loved the stories in this book. my favorites were the Lady and the Fox by Kelly Link and the Girl Who Woke the Dreamer by Laini Taylor
so cute! I feel like if a lot of shy people had a list similar to hers and followed through with it, they would grow as much as the main character did. I really enjoyed the story and how some of the items got checked off. I would recommend this book to most females especially around high school age but earlier or later is good as well.
I loved this book. It had romance and magic, action and detail. I would recommend this book to other people who like magical romance books.
I wasn't expecting to like this book as much as I did. I also wasn't expecting it to make me feel the emotions I felt. I don't want to give it away by saying which emotions. It was a very good book and I recommend it to anyone that wants to feel the emotions.
I was pressured into this book because everyone loved it and every other book that Rainbow Rowell has written. I am glad that I read it. I loved this book so much. It was a delightful book to read and made me want to hug it and never let it go. My full review is here: http://buythebookornot.blogspot.com/2014/08/review-fangirl-by-rainbow-rowell.html
I really did love this book and I will recommend it to all of my bookish friends!
I thought the story was entertaining and had a decent plot twist at Tue end but I think it would have been nice to make the last 2-3 chapters longer and not as rushed.
I had to push through the first part of this book but after the first part I liked it a lot. I loved the descriptions of the tents and the way that it ended. I wish there was a bit more of an ending and that it was in slightly more chronological order but other than that I loved this book.
Such a good book. I hope that there is a sequel. I like the way it ended but I want to know what happens with Tana.
This was my first mermaid book and I loved it. I was worried that it was going to be hard to visualize but it really wasn't. I can't wait to read the other 2 books in the trilogy and then read more mermaid books by different authors.
I loved this book and how there was the 2 different people talking. I think this book would be good for anyone who likes books that make you think or make you think differently.
this was the first John Green book I've ever read and I've had someone spoil the book for me but I still liked the story and I'm glad I picked it up even though it was spoiled and before I watched the movie.
This was such a cute book. I love the little twist right at the very end. I wasn't expecting it, that's for sure. When I started this book I thought I wouldn't like it, it seemed a bit predictable but then I got lost (in a good way) in the story and I loved it. I am very glad I picked it up.
I didn't really like the book at the beginning but about half way through I started to like it a lot and got absorbed in the plot line. I can't wait to start Scarlet and see what happens.
