It was a typical Stephen King book. Dragged in places and was great in the other. At some points I was ICKed out. It is clear Stephen King has an obsession with children being put in sexual situations. It has become a theme of his and how people look over this is... something. Other than that the story was pretty darn good. A good ole good vs evil. I did feel like Jack was acting older than his age but I mean... given the situation he was in I kind of glad he was. I am so glad to have read this because I will be starting Gunslinger soon and well... there are a bit of ties to it. Kind of exciting for me!

I was confused about 50% of the time which made the book really dragged. I was listening at 2.65x speed because I just wanted it to be over and done with. I think it hit the 50% and it really went down hill. The thing that got me to round up to a 3 instead of down to the 2 was the old couple and the ending. I tried really hard not to cry while listening to it since I was at work. XD

This book was very hyped by a lot of people so when I got to this book in my road trip I was excited. Then after the halfway mark it really lived up to the name. I just wished it could have ended sooner. There was only one scene, when she cut his foot off , that had me a bit shocked. Annie as a character was probably the best thing in the book. She was the definition of crazy... and to be honest I think we all have a little Annie inside of us when it comes to something we really love, but thankfully we can really reign in and control her.
