Wow what can I say! Im not the worlds biggest sci-fi fan nor do I claim to have good science knowledge but holy crap this book was fantastic! 90-95% of the science went over my head but the characters and the story were so brilliant!
If you think the science would be too much, please try this book!
The struggles of humanity were so real and you really got sucked in to every aspect of the story! This book made me do science homework for the first time in roughly 16 years when I looked up exactly what the three body problem was (still not exactly sure) and looked up other solar systems so I could have a slightly better understanding! Thats impressive as I didn't like doing science homework when I had too!
Overall, fantastic book, everyone should try this and I will be moving on to the sequels very soon.
This was fantastic! Not many History books can make you expel coffee through your nose....this one can! Whilst giving a good recounting off the Kings and Queens who ruled or maybe didn't from Celtic origins through to the end of the Tudors! Will be one I revisit frequently.

“Just because something's inevitable, doesn't mean it can't wait. Otherwise, why get out of bed? Why do anything at all?”
A very solid fantasy book, with great characters and very interesting magic! My interest dropped off in the middle a touch but I think that was more me than the book itself.
Will definitely be moving onto Legacy of Steel soon
Solid last instalment to tie up the only loose end my brain had picked out of the main series
Really Good
Really enjoyed this, some good twists and turns and great action sequences! The world is very interesting and can't wait to get to book 2
Wow!! I loved this first time round but I actually loved it even more second time!
Such a fantastic cast of characters that you cannot help but fall in love with and see as completely real!
The writing is comforting and while its not a barrel of laughs the story is at the same time heartwarming and heartbreaking!
Cannot wait to continue rereading this amazing series!
“Hard times are here, boy And I wonder if they will ever pass.”
In the years to come, I was to wonder that often.”
Amazing
Fantastic! This is a non stop rollercoaster ride through the early middle years of Caesar! We have some huge names in Roman history here, Crassus, Pompey, Spartacus and many more and the young Caesar just manoeuvring through them like a hot knife through butter! Great, great book, would highly recommend.
4.5 ⭐️ this book was fantastic! Really enjoyed my time back in Seven Cities!
WITNESS
Fantastic! Only way to put it! And even better 2nd time through! Cannot wait to get to Assassins Quest
3.5⭐️ was a bit undecided on this one a lot of the time but definitely still good enough to continue
This book is a masterpiece, you feel like you get to know all the characters so, so well. Seeing their childhoods and parts of their adult lives really builds that connection to them, even the ‘bad' guys. Then there is the story itself, while surprisingly for me I didn't find it as scary as I thought I would, don't get me wrong will walk away from clowns forever, it was gripping, horrific, exciting and lots of other great things!
Some of the best character interactions I've ever read and for a horror book, moments that were so funny I spat coffee or food everywhere.
For a book thats over 1000 pages there is not a single one that felt redundant or wasted. This is by far the best King book I've read and has cemented him as an author I must work harder to read more from.

Wow! Thats pretty much all you can say! All four of these short stories were amazing even if Apt Pupil was maybe a bit much for my sensitive brain, it was so interesting.
My favourite of the four was probably The Body, it sums up for me what King does best (I'm no expert at all having only read 5 or 6 of his books) the coming of age, small town story with a dark twist!
Shawshank was a very very close second, a story that will stay with me forever and I will definitely come back to every so often and The Breathing Method was gripping, heartbreaking and haunting.
Would definitely recommend this!
This was amazing! So glad I got recommended this! A lot of the time Sci-Fi goes over my head and I'm not saying I understood a lot of the science stuff, but this is such a great and captivating story that it wasn't an issue. Characters were brilliant, went from liking one of the main POVs to being luke warm by the end and the opposite for the other one! But they were always interesting. Cant wait to jump into book 2 soon.
“Great events turn on small hinges.”
Absolutely LOVED this! My first Stephen King novel did not disappoint, great characters, vivid scenes and one hell of a story! Plus the most badass 10 year old ever! Go Avester
If only he had a massive collection of works for me to check out
A great conclusion to a great series! As usual Ben Kane nails the ending....and beginning and middle! Ferdia is such a great character and his relationship with King Richard is brilliant to read! Would highly recommend this to anyone, but especially anyone with a taste for the Plantagenets and the crusades
Wow! This book took everything great about The Winter King and raised the stakes! It had action that made you actually sweat and moments that actually broke your heart! It was fantastic in every way! Another great job Mr Cornwell
Brilliant
A great start to what I think will be a great series, all the foundations of another masterclass by Mr Cornwell. I could read his books all day long, the perfect mix of action and character to draw you in and hold you there.

I love this book more every time I read it! Possibly at four or five times now. Uhtred is just the best and the way Cornwell gets you invested is almost unrivalled for me, its one of my favourite periods of history as well.
Absolute must read
4.5 stars
This was intense! Emotional, impactful, breathtaking and heartbreaking!
“Breathe. Dive into the breath. Let it carry you to the core of yourself, where your strength lies.”
Probably my least favourite of the series so far but the fact that I still think its a 4.5 should tell you everything!
Found a new favourite character in Cunomar, his growth was next level and loved reading anything with him in it!
Itching to start the final book and will do very soon.
This really took it up a notch from Leviathan Wakes for me, the new POVs are the best characters so far! Bobbie is really cool but my favourite is Avasarala! Hilarious and an absolute powerhouse for a tiny grandma!
What a cliffhanger too.
4.5/5 for me
This was the perfect ending to a fantastic series! Had everything, incredible action, heartbreak, courage and so so much more!
I enjoyed this book and its a solid 3.5 stars! I adore Macro and Cato (getting to book 21 of a series surely proves that) and all the supporting characters mostly Petronella and Apollonius. I just felt that for a book that on the front cover says “In Roman Britannia, the Boudica revolt begins...” we had to wait a really long time for it to actually begin! Maybe 65/70% of the way through was where I felt it stepped into another gear! I do appreciate the setting up of the story though and its probably me being impatient to get to the action.
Having said that, I am VERY excited for book 22 after that ending!
Another solid entry to the Eagles of the Empire series
