Not a bad place to start for someone beginning to question their beliefs and not aware of the absurdities of the bible. Nothing really groundbreaking, though.
A fun, intense, challenging read. Marcus makes excellent use of the English language, getting as much as possible out of every sentence.
Perfectly written. Lovecraftian without all the shitty racism. The Fisherman immediately jumps to the top of my recommended horror list.
I really enjoyed about sixty-five percent of it. The rest felt like my wife trying to tell me about a dream she had.
Had I not read The Glassy, Burning Floor of Hell, this would have been my favorite collection this year. Terrific stuff.
