This was a good book that gave me lots of feels. That being said I thought it was slow at times but the characters were well writing and I felt like you could really relate to them.
This was a sweet unique story with a few twists. I felt the first half of the book was pretty slow and I just wasn't emotionally connected to the H or h. Over all good book.
Good, quick read. The storyline was pretty predictable, you knew exactly what was going to happen about 1/2 way through but still a decent book.
4.5
Lovely writing and never a dull moment. Shows the power of government and influence and how we all must have our eyes open.
Swoooooooon! I loved this book! I'm a sucker for a college romance and The Deal didn't disappoint.
The characters are very well written. I fell in love with Hannah and Garrett. Without giving too much away, Hannah has had a past she must overcome and she does it. It doesn't leave her as weak though, she instead is a strong and bright female. She is someone you can relate to.
Garrett is super swoon worthy. He's super hot and definitely alpha male, but not over the top and annoying. It's easy to fall in love with him and root for Garrett and Hannah.
5 stars!!!!!!
This one definitely wasn't for me. Lucy annoyed me like no character ever has, she was annoying and selfish. Her inner dialogue was just exhausting!!!!! And chad.... You're in love with him?! Really?! Because I think he had all of 10 lines before you decided that. Seriously... I was halfway through the book and he hadn't said hardly anything! How can you connect with the characters or be invested if there is no dialog???
The only reason I gave this 2 stars instead of one was because the plot was original even if I did feel it was poorly executed.
I hate to give this book only four stars but like a lot of other trilogies the sex scenes seemed to become redundant and the story drawn out. However, I cannot stop turning pages excited to find out what was going to happen next. Can't wait for book 3!
This was a very unique story but I didn't connect with the characters or their story. I did love its uniqueness though. Rory wasn't a strong character, and I wasn't a fan of Houston either he was pretty much a jerk.
Has all my favorite things... A smokin alpha, girl with a terrible past and steamy scenes BUT it has so much more that keeps me guessing and dying to read part 2!
So I have to start by saying this isn't my typical book type. I do have to say though it was beautifully written, it was romantic and heart breaking all at once. So. Many. Feels. This book made my typical books feel like light reads. Liz's character was so well written, I could literally feel her anguish. And what's not to love about Ben?
This book, like I said, isn't a typical romance. It is so much more!!!
I had really high hopes for this book, maybe that's why I can only give it 2 stars. I rarely rate a book this low. I had heard such great things about it and by 60% in I just wanted it to be over. I did force myself to finish though.
First off, I didn't connect w/ Tenley AT.ALL. I felt like her responses to things that she had been through were odd and I thought overall she was a weak character. She annoyed me. For someone that is supposed to be very intelligent she was not at all, not in the things she said or the things she did.
Then you have Hayden. I get the author was trying to do the whole alpha male thing, but in this case it didn't work. He came off as selfish and was just a flat out a jerk.
Given the history of these characters so much more could have been done in this book. I just wasn't feeling it.
Ugh it had the potential to be SO much more. I get Farah's had a hard life but her internal dialogue rarely made sense, she was WAY too wishy washy. A lot of the dialogue between the H/h was confusing and lacked explanation. He would look at her a know what she was thinking... Too bad the author forgot to clue us in to what that was. Some parts of the books had me ready to fall in love and then BOOM, nothing. I REALLY wanted to love this book, it has everything I love in a book... badass alpha and damaged girl but the writing felt rushed.
Book was well written, characters were very likeable for the most part. At times I felt the heroine was a bit overdramatic about things and didn't always understand her reactions but I overall loved this book.
