Devoured in less than 24 hours. Absolutely fell in love and I am heartbroken that I will never again be able to read it for the first time.
I loved this book so much that I carried it with me everywhere for 3 days just in case I found a few more minutes to carry on reading.
Another absolute beauty from Matt Haig. I love how he always writes with his main characters voice. He is so skilled, so intuitive.
Nora has taught me a lot of things during her journey. I want everyone to read this book!!
We wish we could give it a million stars!
We have loved Morrigan's further ventures, and can't wait for the next instalment.
The first book in a long time I have ever finished and immediately gone back to re-read the first chapter.
A wonderfully written story of love. Chapter 1 hits with a sledgehammer once you've finished the book.
A well deserved 5 stars.
Absolutely glorious read that I managed in 3 days - exactly what I needed after the funk of my failed 2020 reading challenge. The story of a wild girl in a small town and the journey taken by a disgraced and damaged child psychologist to fix her may have been predictable but thoroughly engaging, and that's all I ever ask for.
Interested to read so many negative reviews, comparing it to Hannah's other works and finding it lacking. I have The Nightingale in my bookshelf, so clearly I am in for a treat.
A fabulous story, magical and real all at once.
I also discovered that the perfect music to listen along to whilst reading is the Bridgerton soundtrack.
Nice idea, poorly executed. I felt each event was rushed, the love story predictable, and I much prefer characters described by more than their skin tone.
This could have been approximately 65% shorter, or more storyline packed into its 402 pages instead.
A valiant attempt at a YA Dystopian novel but misses the mark entirely. An irritating back-and-forth where it feels like nothing happens until the last 10% of the book.
Such a shame - I rarely feel so let down by a book particularly as I love the offerings of both Fletchers individually.
Won't be following the rest of the trilogy, but I am excited at other novels from Tom and Giovanna.
Very readable but I found it a little hard to follow. Whilst Unbelievable is probably what the author was probably what the author was aiming for I felt it stretched a little too far between the realms of Real and Make Believe to be comfortable.
Exactly my kind of book. Poignant and hilarious and one I couldn't put down.
My favourite line, whilst Johanna is deciding what to keep and what to get rid of when she reinvents herself for the 2nd time -
To Reject:
Self harm - the world will come at you with knives anyway. You do not need to beat them to it.
The absolute definition of un-put-downable. Filled with twists and turns, one so massive I had to go back and check I hadn't missed a key detail earlier on! Haunting and tense - each chapter filled me with dread and I had to read on. Which is why I am writing this review at 2am!
There aren't enough stars for me to give this book. I love books but have only fallen in love with a handful. This is one of them.
Started on an off chance as something to read on the train, selected at random from my bulging bookcase.
I wasn't sure what to expect, but this wasn't it. A story written entirely though letters to a stranger, stretching the story as Zoe began to find her voice to tell the truth. Beautifully written and utterly believable, each letter I read I internally begged for more information. A fantastic YA novel, one I will recommend to the teenagers in my family.
I look forward to reading the other 2 Annabelle Pitcher's in my possession.
