This book left me scratching my head. At times I enjoyed it, and at other times I was lost and not quite sure what I was reading. Interesting premise, I’m just not quite sure it really came through in the end. Maybe it just wasn’t what I was expecting. 🤷♂️
Man, this one was certainly the most disgustingly disturbing book I’ve read this year. Totally not what I expected yet was fascinating. So good.
Excellent book. Got it as a gift from my brother, and was amazed at how engaged I became in it. Very easy to follow, even for those that aren't super into video games.
This was a different book for me than my typical read, and I’m happy to say I enjoyed it. The Road is heart wrenching and heartwarming at the same time. Not sure if I would outright recommend it to everyone, but it is certainly one that makes you ponder the world.
A wonderful capstone to the Bill Hodges trilogy.
The pacing is wonderful, balancing tense, edge-of-your-seat moments with deep reflections on mortality and justice.
What truly stands out is the strength of the characters. Bill Hodges, Holly Gibney, and Jerome Robinson remain deeply compelling, their growth and resilience shining through every page.
I highly recommend this book and the entire series for anyone who loves a mix of gripping suspense, emotional depth, and a hint of the uncanny. This is King at his best.
