Big YA mashup. We get Hunger games +divergent+ maze runner (+ some selection) and you get this book.
The romance was top notch tho. The enemies to lovers was done perfectly .
My new comfort book 😊
The short review: This books is my 2024 FAVE. (And yes I have read SJM's HOFAS....)(Honestly this should say alot xD)
The longer review:
The book dedication was a great start to an awesome adeventure. The story was very sweet and funny, but not cringey. The author knew how to combine every good thing about werewolf& vampire books and merge it together. It truly reminded me of the feeling you got after scrolling for hours on wattpad and somehow be lucky enough to find a rare pearl.
I do hope the author continues the series.

I really love acotar, tog & cc. I literally told everyone that waiting for this book is why I manage to get trough most days.
I considerd myself lucky to even get the book in my hands on the 26th of january.
But this book was such a huge disappointment.
The maasverse promise did not deliver in this book. No real stakes to lose and suddenly the FMC is a huge bitch? The tempo of the story also made no sens at all. Some plot point should have stopped at 3 chapters and others should have extended into another book.

JLA did it again.
With every new book my love for this series grows. I mean I had a love hate relationship with the very first one, but look at me now begging for the next one in the series.
I loved it. The new pov made it quite intresting. I did however miss some things. For obvious reasons, some of the characters were way less in the story and I love Delano 🥺. This story was also set at a slower pace so I missed some of the action. Don't get me wrong, I always love the endings. But if feel like she always keeps the best for last so that you get a rush of adrenaline and literally get addicted to her books xD
I did discover that I need this series to be rewritten in a lot of different POVS. Cas, Delano, Kieran.....
If you are looking for a feel good wholesome manga you are at the right place.
This book is very cute and makes you remember what is was to be in highschool and have crushes. Or even maybe your first love. I often had to use the manga to fan myself beacuse it was so adorable and sometimes cringey but in a good way.
I am so looking forwards for the rest of the series

This book is such a disappointment.
I was hoping for some cliché boy next door romance. Even if it started with the stupidest idea of getting rid of one's virginity because of the pressure or not wanting to be bad at it, I wanted the story to evolve into a nice story about best friends exploring their sexuality. But sadly, if that is what you are looking for, I would recommend grabbing your phone and opening Wattpad and open any sex lessons ft... kind of stories. Truly, it is the only time that a Wattpad story is better than a real book.
This book was mainly just a bunch of friends creating drama and having fights. The plot that was described on the back of the book is maybe spread over 10 pages? The rest of the book just seems unnecessary to me.
I know that a lot of times you need to read the whole book to understand the message, but truly I kept thinking about the people that would not finish this book. What kind of message do they get? That being a virgin is a disease? What if they don't want to have sex, they need to make it up to the other person next time? If I could I would hide this book from every teen who is looking for a sex-positive book.
I am trying to do a SJM marathon, and I decide to start with throne of glass. As much as I love SJM books, this one wasn't it. I know a lot of spoilers and that this is "just" a setup, but still.... Most of the book Celaena resembled a 14 year old girl. Besides that, I have never read so many exclamation points in a book or dash marks.
The last 100 pages made up for quite a bit and I can't wait to start the next book.
