Interesting book. About 25% through it, I almost stopped listening to it. Nothing was really catching me. Characters were alright but I didn't see where the story was going. Slow to gain traction but It got somewhat interesting and in the end, I am glad I finished it.
A great end to the trilogy. Considerably different from the first two, which was a nice change from the normal progression of a trilogy.
Good, easy read.
Likable characters.
Nice twist on the Salem trials
Elements reminded me of Mr. Mercedes by Stephen King
I have some mixed feelings about this book. It reminded me a a Gillian Flynn novel The author does a great job at bouncing between three story lines that weave in and out of each other. However, I never found my self liking any of the characters. They are very well written and they have some good development as the story moves, but none of them are good people. I was not routing for anyone. A minor thing that bugged me was the fact that the story opens up with the main character noticing clothes neatly folded up on a train platform, it was mentioned again near then end, but it was never explained why they ended up on there.
I really enjoyed this book. If you like The Hunger Games, Game of Thrones, and Seveneves (or any elements of space), you will enjoy this book.
