A very good, and exciting, blend of accurate, well paced historical fact and believable fiction.

Quite informative. Remarkable what Mr. Churchill and the people of Britain went through in 1942 and still, at the end of that dark and daunting year, remained standing, determined and valiant.

I think the most worthwhile books on our Christian faith are not those that tell us what to think but instead offer or present us with thoughtful ways to examine, or reexamine, what it is we think we believe. I find Mr. Wright to be an intelligent but certainly readable scholar; one whose grasp of the significance of God's ‘rescue plan' plan for humanity and for all creation with its deep, unbreakable, connection to historical Judaism to be both refreshing and stimulating. A very good read.

A really enjoyable read. Who would not want Mr. and Mrs. Weasly for a father and mother?

Another fine piece of history written by Sir Max Hastings.

Just finished this. Not necessarily the best written of books but the story itself is powerful. Two questions are asked. How does one keep one's humanity in the midst of inhuman cruelty and barbarism. And what will a person do, including compromising their own integrity, to save and protect themselves and others when faced with the daily reality of beatings, torture, rape and murder. Unless we ourselves have been in a concentration camp the answers are not so simple.
