Dnf @49%, the Christian morality felt like being hit on the head with a lead pipe... It's too bad, the premise was fun.
Oh, my heart! This was so good! I loved the story, the writing was lyrical and yet filled with wry humor, the narration was great too- each character felt distinct but not over the top. It took a beat to get used to it, but once I did, I loved the changing narrators. It felt like I got to see a bigger slice of the world than if we had just stayed with K. Highly recommend!
So good! I don't even know where to start. If you're human, and dealing with any king of grief, ie if you're alive, move this to the top of your tbr. So cathartic.
Yes, it's long but I didn't mind at all because it's such a delight to live in Hild's world alongside her. So, so good.
So good! I loved everything, but especially the casual queerness. Oh, and it doesn't end on a cliffhanger! Love that I can look forward to more with these characters without stress...
Dnf @ 9%, couldn't deal with the racism and misogyny. Might be a great story but not where I want to spend my mental energy.
