I loved this book.
By the end, I felt like I was a close friend of Evelyn. She's such a strong and resilient character, portrayed as deeply human with flaws and mistakes, which I truly appreciated.
The girl in this book has no personality aside from being anxious. Every time she talks to her friends, they have to remind her that “she is an amazing girl and she deserves a good guy.” To me, she feels like a bit of a “pick-me” constantly needing reassurance for no real reason. It just doesn't sit right with me, she's supposed to be an intelligent woman working toward a PhD. How can she act like a scared fawn in an environment like that?
In my opinion, Twisted Hate is the worst book in the Twisted series.
I lost count of how many times I sighed and rolled my eyes while reading it.

Overall, the book was great—maybe a bit “Wattpad-ish,” but that didn't bother me too much.
!! SPOILERS AHEAD !!
I really didn't understand why, near the end, Lowe suddenly gets so irrationally angry at her. It felt like one of those cliché moments where romance books force the characters to have a falling-out before the happy ending, but in this case, it wasn't justified at all. And the fact that she wasn't even slightly resentful about the way he treated her?? I just can't. Otherwise, this book would've easily been a 4.5 stars read for me.
