My least favorite in the series, mostly due to the rushed climax and conclusion, but still a great read!
Predictable with obnoxious characters. I kept waiting for some sort of interesting twist and there never was one. Not worth the time.
This was definitely very over the top, but it was so much fun to read! I sped through it and loved every minute.
2.5
I wanted to love this, but there were too many red herrings that didn't actually fool you, and unimportant tangents. By the end of the book I was just tired.
I can't handle Nora Roberts anymore. Every single book is exactly the same. Strong woman moves to a new(country) place, meets an asshole guy (portrayed as “sexy” and “strong willed”) and is essentially bullied into a romance. These books just terrible.
Maybe I'm being uncharacteristically sappy, but I loved this book. It was completely predictable, cheesy, and not very well written, but so cute.
SNOREEEEEEE. Skip this one. I was bored throughout. Maria drove me INSANE. She kept asking the SAME questions over and over even when it had already been explained! ALKJLAKSDJL AJSDLKAJSDkjhaslk
Finally a home run. I will admit there were a few things that...irked me. A few connections that just seemed wayyyy too coincidental. But I'm overlooking them because I enjoyed this book thoroughly.
I downloaded this book on a whim to listen to on a plane without looking at the description. I was looking for a thriller...I did NOT expect erotica. I DEFINITELY didn't expect gay erotica lmao. Not really my thing, but after a few sex scenes I skipped through them and enjoyed the suspense part of the book. Not bad, kind of generic for a detective/cop novel. But yeah. It's gay erotica, so be aware of that.
THIS BOOK WAS SO GOOD! I'm actually slightly upset it's over since this is Kelsey's only book. It was so well written with great twists and turns that kept me guessing. The imagery she used was not at all what I was expecting from a debut novel. MORE!!!
I loved this book so much. I see a lot of reviews talking about how rude the main character could be, but I enjoyed the rawness and honesty of her inner dialogue. This was a great listen, I'm hoping Catherine has plans to write more!
Goodreads really needs a .5 option. I'd give this a 3.5. Cute book, but a little lacking
I have a lot of feelings about this book, and they aren't great. It started out with such promise and really declined from there.I am blown away at the number of 4-5 star reviews as I found it difficult to even finish. It became very repetitive the humor got old quickly. If I have to hear Doug say, “there's something wrong with this world” one more time I will jump off a cliff. The whole synopsis that starts the book, “Doug talks to Satan”, doesn't even come into play until the last 20 minutes of the book. On top of all that, there was no real conclusion.
Skip this book unless you're about 13 years old.
WHY IS EVERYBODY IN THIS SERIES SO FUCKING STUPID?!? GAH. I'm hate reading at this point.
I was watching a youtube video about the history of Groundhog Day and this autoplayed after and it was too cute to turn off :3
This book was a total mess with too many moving pieces that didn't truly fit together in the end. We got no satisfying explanations, yet the author pretended to tie things up with a nice bow at the end. Very disappointing.
