See allThis book was absolutely spectacular. Despite a truckload of technical jargon, the book flows effortlessly through the perspective of Astronaut Mark Watney documenting his struggle for survival (and being an absolute snark machine). A pure delight for any sci-fi fan, and a thrilling read for anyone else.
Absolutely required reading for any white person, even and especially including those who consider themselves racial progressives. This book masterfully dissembles the assumptions that we white people make when either obfuscating or denying our inevitable racist behavior, and describes in detail how our society's long, relentless history of white supremacy hammers this into white people from a young age.
Dan Abnett does it again with another amazing collection of novels. His action continues to be crammed to the gills with suspense, and his dialogue continues to be razor sharp. Looking forward to the next volume with great interest.
