The Silent Patient started off a bit slow for me, but once it picked up, I was all in!!! By the middle of the book, I felt like a detective piecing together clues. I cracked part of the case before the big reveal and I was screaming!!! The twists and turns kept me hooked! Definitely worth sticking with!

I really loved this book!! It’s a powerful historical fiction book about survival during slavery. I couldn’t put it down. Sadeqa Johnson does an amazing job telling the story, and I felt connected to the characters. It’s a must-read for anyone who wants to learn about history and the strength of people who lived through it.

This was my first McFadden book. It was filled with suspense and unexpected twist. Just when I thought I figured something out, boom it was something else. I look forward to reading some more of her work!

This was my first book by Lucinda Berry, and I wasn’t really impressed. I think my expectations were a bit too high. It had some good moments, but for a thriller, it just didn’t have that “wow” factor I was looking for. It kind of felt like reading a script to a movie I’d already seen. Even though this one didn’t impress me as much as I wanted it to, I’m still open to trying her other books.
