I knew this was going to be bad but dear god I hated this. I completely zoned out over and over again. The beginning was okay because at least SOMETHING happened but I got about halfway and just decided to look at chapter summaries the rest of the way. Seems like there was a good ending but there was still a long road to get there so I'm out. I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1 for the beginning and apparently the ending was good. The rest is garbage
Sooo much more action. We finally see Wildlings and Whitewalkers, however brief it may be. We get a lot more backstory of things that happened before the first book so that helps a lot. It made me happy Tyrion gets some revenge! Also that ending was awesome, why they didn't include that in the show is ludicrous.
Ned Stark is probably the best character in fictional history. If everyone was like him the world would be so much better. This book is full of characters you love, characters you love/hate, and even more characters to despise. Sansa Stark is the worst child ever. Although if it weren't for her actions the story might not have been as interesting
Stephen King shouldn't be allowed to write over 400 pages. Unbelievable how much useless information he throws into books
As usual with a Stephen King novel it's about 400 pages too long. Seriously if you cut this down to 300 pages or less I think this story would be better. King was a must read for me and the books I've read after Pet Sematary up to this one of his career have been so boring and slow. The story is good and ominous with a cool villain but just too much filler for me
