I was so pleased with the last chapter.
And the the epilogue kind of killed me. And the I was happy. And the I was Sad. I cried a lot going back and forth between these two emotions.
I read this series because I want to read Chain Of gold and I felt it would make the whole experience better, but right now I'm not ready.
Over all great book, not what I was expecting, but I was pleasantly surprised with most of the twist it took.
The aspect that I liked the most in this novella was the connection with nature and how the faeries had elemental magic. Even the shorts made of leaves was charming.
The sprint/games I found very interesting and entertaining. Particularly, how much everyone was invested in the sprint for good or twisted reasons. And I liked how the race ended for Ember.
Additionally I liked the contrast in the characteristics of the two main characters, like their wings, and their juxtaposition.
Everything felt too intense and meaningful at first, and then I remember that they don't know each other at all. So that kind of made the story fall apart a little bit.
Also I would've like some warning for polyamorous since it's not my cup of tea but I'm letting it slide this once since over all I liked the story. Aparently there is a mantion of this here on goodreads but not in netgalley.

It was beautiful. But I would've loved to see more on the process of characters design and the backgrounds.
Simply beautiful. This is one of my favorite animated disney movies and it is due to the artstyle. The only thing that could have made this better was if it had more explanations of the visual development.
Super conflicted with what I just read so I'm going to take a couple of days to rate this one.
I liked the little tips that are shared every day. They can be very useful when applied to your life. At the end of it it's about the little details to appreciate life. To create a life you enjoy and that reflects who you are. What do you want your life to look like? And make it happen. Aim for what makes you happy, Look for the opportunities and deep dive into it.
I loved the cover and how feminine the whole layout and color palette of the book are. Since the daily tips are very concise and short it is more likely that people will go back everyday to see what comes next. I do believe that by applying these tips you can change your life in a year.
Imagine them trying to free Kage and him having the time of his life? - Just a thought.
I found this installment to be sweeter in a way. I like the interactions between the main characters, and since they already had history between them I found their feelings and the romance development to be more believable and engaging. I loved the way Dannovan had fallen for Aura from the beginning. He always wanted more, and I love how protective he is of her.
I consider that there are some interesting new characters that are hopefully explored in the future, such as The Brothers Grimm and Kage.
For me, the good humor of the characters is an important factor of my enjoyment of the story. Though the smut is nothing to complain about.
Mickey Mouse has always been one of my favorite cartoon characters, so I jumped for the opportunity to read a new (to me) comic about him. And I have to say that I was not let down. True, the one I knew from my childhood was a bit kinder, but all in all you can see his true character in the comic.
I enjoyed the story immensely even though it was clear that there were bits missing, but once you get used to the jumps it gets easier to follow. I understand why they couldn't release all the comics and I think the selection chosen for the book covers the overall story very well.
I would say that Mickey and Donald went through pretty much every single adventure story you could find and it was a blast. Also, I loved the cover. It's pretty accurate.
I liked the mix between paranormal and mystery/crime story. I even got to suspect some characters I didn't expect. The mystery definitely catches you from the start and I liked how every character was very distinctive in their personalities, so seeing them work together with their different dynamics was a blast. I think this was thanks to the overall humor in the story. To name a few examples of this: Jocasta's inner monologue as well as Sebastien's personality.
The way Jocasta's job was portrait and her love for it was very interesting to me. I know nothing about it but it sounded very compelling to understand the mechanics of her job and how she starts to solve parts of the mystery.
I think one of my favorite parts was Jocasta and Will's relationship. How they started to know each other and how she got to experience some of Will's special talents. The fact that both got to do it with the lessons was charming and honestly was very unique to me. Also, I loved how everyone shipped them.
I was pleasantly surprised with Domingo. I initially thought he was going to be some sort of a fatherly figure for the team and just send them off to the missions and it was nice to see I was wrong.
You can tell that I enjoyed the book so much that I've been speculating. Are there going to be consequences of some of the last scenes in the book? Are the characters going to be the same after that? Will it trigger a new plot?
I would've liked to know more about Will's family and childhood since it is brought up a couple of times but not really explained. As well as a bit more explanation of how Domingo and Will meet for him to get to work with him. I feel there is so much of Will's side of the story that we don't know yet, but hopefully in a later installment.
Oh my! I don't know what to do now... The book itself four stars. The fifth one is solely for that ending. WHAT?!?! I can't prosess so much emotions.

This is a very sweet story and I liked the arc of the main character. Her development was something that I was praying would happen since I was annoyed at how she let other people treat her, however the end result was very satisfactory.
I Love that Max is a gentleman and that he has a dog, extra points for that.
Both of them are really funny and it's great that they have a good sense of humor. The chemistry between them was instant but thankfully, it didn't feel insta love. I honestly thought that the most I was going to get was a chaste kiss, and while nothing was too graphic, they do have passion and it was fire.
The self awareness of their psychological issues is not something that I see very often in books and I appreciate it. Considering that this was on the table already, their changes made more sense in the story.
My favorite character: probably Vella, she is the funniest one. Also, their friendship is highly moving as both show the depths of it. Love to see female friendships.
The only down part I found was him messing with her fears. I understand that she managed to get through it but it would be a deal breaker for me. No questions asked.
The revelation of the mystery was not what I thought it was going to be, and I'm not going to lie, I was a bit let down by it. But overall, I liked the story.
I love going through this kind of books. This one is beautiful and I honestly think that is the best one I have read so far. I have learn a lot about visual design.
These comics are absolutely beautiful in every single way. The art style is simple yet adorable and charming. And the stories are wholesome and straight to the heart, as well as highly relatable. Love every part of the collection.
The description of the book is accurate. It portraits the small things in life that can change your day for the better. And it does it with two cute bears. It definitely puts a smile on your face.
This is an amazing fantasy romance sequel for In the shadow of a wish. I highly recommend it if you enjoy the genre. I loved the character development for the two main characters, their journey into being the best version of themselves and the fantasy elements of the story. It has a good amount of humor throughout the book that keeps things lighter that is a good contrast for the seriousness of some other times.
I liked the way the relationship is formed. Tarley and Lachlan learn to work as a team, get to know each other even in the most delicate aspects of one another, and it was interesting that they don't hide from being vulnerable.
I was dazed by how much I loved the main characters. Tarley doesn´t allow her fears stop her and she ends up being way funnier than I expected. I think that her character was very well executed. And Lachlan is absolutely charming, kind of boyish at some points but quickly learns to view things that matter with more mature eyes. Still charming at the end.
I loved the spice in the story. It adds up to their romance in a good way and it's a good amount of spice without getting the story plotless.
There are also alluring side characters, just to mention some: the whole Fairview family, some characters from book one (really good to see them again), and new ones like Trevis and new friends.
In addition to an excellent romance story, there is a mystery going on surrounding the Fairview family, which is getting thicker and thicker by the minute and I can't wait to get some answers in the next book.
So, a five stars read for me. It became one of my favorite books! and I hope you give it a chance.
This probably was my most anticipated book of the year so I really wanted to like it, and for most part I did, but I feel that something was missing.
I should say that the story surprised me completely since I expected one thing and I received far more. The twists and turns of the story kept everything so interesting, and honestly I couldn't predict anything. From friend to foe, to the kisses function. I or Jacks's motivations.
I love the world, it is so imaginative and vivid that I need to see more of that. Door bells that think or feel, not sure, tiny dragons, fate's magic and rose gold hair?!?
Low key this book made me rethink my love for vampires...
Anyway, for some reason I got very confused at the end of the book as to where Jacks stands as friend or foe to Evangeline. Through the story it seems like Jacks couldn't care less for her and then he needs her to do something . But now he might think higher of her than he lets show and that he might care more than we know. At last the extra contents of this book is telling me otherwise maybe? Now I don't know if I should care for him or not.
I have not read Legendary or Finale so I didn't know him, and apparently he does something to Donatella, so I'm intrigued. But the way, I prefer him blonde, just so you know. Also how on earth did Scarlet and Donatella end up there??? ( hoping that if I finish the Caraval series I find out)
I feel that as far as I know Jacks is a very complicated character or he is just an a**. I really hope it is the first because I feel that there are two hearts at risk here, Evangelin's and mine's. As you can see I do like the guy at some twisted level. what I did not like was when he was calling her “Pet”. I was like: “WHY?...”
Very looking forward to the next book so I can live in peace with all the answers that I need and hopefully a happily ever after.
Oh.. The ending was too abrupt. Overall, the book was quite funny. And OMG I love Killian already, can't wait for his book
5 stars for the Guide
4 stars for the ending of the Novella
Sophie, you really F*** things this time. To be fair, I think it was a matter of time before someone snap and do it.
Keefe! Really?? Again?
Plus, I though the letter had something juicy. Like revealing everything!?
