Very confusing book, but not in a complex sense. More in how it was written with 2 storylines going back and forth constantly. BUT I was never bored and loved the story. It all came together in the end. Excited to see where the rest of the series goes

4.5/5. This has been on my TBR for too long, especially considering how good it is and how it aligns with my tastes so well. I won't lie, the first half of the book was only 3.5/5 for me, but by the middle, I was hooked. Then the last 1/4 of the book was an easy 5/5 and really set everything else up. In total giving this a 4.5/5 and I know I'm going to absolutely love the rest of the series

I didn't really know what to expect with this book. Vampire fantasy? Didn't seem like my cup of tea. So I certainly didn't expect to love it as much as I did. This book was a journey from start to finish. Extremely well written characters, plot, and world

So many questions were answered, but so many things were left unanswered. It was a perfect blend

This book took me by surprise. I loved the King's Dark Tidings series, so I was eager to read a new release by Kel Kade. This book has a lot of world building, a lot of character development, and a lot of twists that make me feel like book 2 will be where the story really takes off as intended. My biggest recommendation is to go back and re-read the prologue after you've finished the book because it definitely has a lot more to it than you might originally think

4 stars. I really like this one and I'm excited to see where the series will go. Thematically, this is my bread and butter. Im an IT nerd so all of the programming and AI undertones in this really piqued my interest and it was well executed. Hoping book 2 and 3 expand on that and get better
