I read this when I was in 6th grade and it was one of the only books I can comprehend well while reading back then.
I STILL vividly remember this book to this day and bought my own copy last year I believe, I plan to re-read it again soon.
4.5. Loved it and read this after watching the show. I'm not disappointed. Onto the next book!
I couldn't put this book down. jaw was dropped several times. I recommend reading this. Another favorite and can't wait for the 3rd book!

It was slow at first and holidays came by. Finally picked it up to finish it. There are three perspectives and two timelines which is interesting. Love the last several pages with information and recipes.

This was my 2nd attempt to read it and I finished this time. It was slow at first until I hit around page 150s. It picked up the pace and many more lives to experience. Trigger warnings: suicide, cancer, death, drugs, alcohol, and depression.
I always had the thought for many years of “What Ifs”. This book was basically full of “What Ifs”. My favorite quote is cheesy but it hits different; “You don't have to understand life. You just have to live it”.
Even though it had Knives Out vibes, it should be adapted into a film.
throws book spiritually to directors/producers Fingers crossed
2-stars only for the huge hype and awards this book got.
Being generous but it was so sloooowww. #snailbook. I read the reviews and I wasn't the only one who experienced the slowness this book has.

How I felt^^
I skimmed through the last 50 pages for so. The book writing and format weren't for me.
I need a break from e-books from the library and actually read my tbr physical books sitting on my desk. Onto the next book! :D
A reviewer mentioned “Promising Young Woman + Dexter with a little Killing Eve vibes” and I 100% agree! I love the twists and full-circle moments. I think the main character is the Cancer zodiac as one of her big three. She cares tremendously but it can come with consequences. A new favorite for sure.
*throws book at film/shows producers and hope for a proper adaption.
Not my favorite but love the action aspect. If this book adapted into a film, I would watch it. Great ending as well.
4.5. Love it and a fast read. Waited for 2 months for the library e-book for this. Now I have to wait for 10 months until the 3rd book comes out.
Reminded me of They Never Learn vibes. Very twisty and almost every main character kept on blaming and jumping to conclusions. Until they found out who was the killer towards the end.
There are some Mental Health aspects and some trigger warnings. Keep that in mind. Good book overall.
On the honest note, I felt the secondhand overthinking and anxiety from Piransi when they was working for the Other. Loved the inspiration from other books' characters, realms, etc. it was fascinating to imagine the Halls would be like. The notes were interesting and observations. The halls or labyrinth was a “prison”
The negative was the writing and pacing. Maybe it was the library's ebook format? I lost track of the plot a couple of times. Many things were happening as well.
The last sentence explains well of the book's realm, “The Beauty of the House is immeasurable; its Kindness infinite.”
I would re-read and annotate to understand the story better.
4.5. Finally finished this book since I'm reading less lately due to starting a new job back last month.
The book confirms it's not a type of narrative point of view book for me. The writing was dragging and over-explained. BUT I will watch the film which I'm excited about.
It was hard for me to visualize the plot for some reason. I would watch this adaptation if it becomes a show. Very descriptive too which is ironic. Quick read as well
2.5
Definitely weird. So many “I died” moments. Interesting Essay/stories telling. Quick read
Just wow....wow. This book is a very bold and blunt read. It's not a conservative book but a chaotic one. If I consider the book Bunny as Chaotic neutral, this book would be Chaotic Evil. It was a roller coaster of emotions from many “WTF” moments to “side eye *blinks” moments. The author did not hold back and really wrote this book as realistic and has HBO vibes.
This book is not for the faint-hearted or innocent readers.
Trigger warnings: Drugs, psychotic, mental health, depression, Mental Health drugs 3-day blackouts, addiction, severe insomnia, parents dying, death, mention of 9/11, and eating disorder.
Reva has such a Cancer Zodiac energy. She was caring and loved the narrator. Also, the narrator does not have a name. At the same time, Reva had issues with body image and death in the family. Trevor sucks by the way.
This was a quick and easy read. Took me about 3 hours to finish it since it was a page-turner. If you want/need a book to feel something, this book is for you.

I loved it. I can relate since I have a small risk of the similar cancer June has. Erupt ending though. I want to know more and what happens. Maybe that's on a purpose? It does have trigger warnings. It didn't bother me but be mindful if you want to read this. I would recommend this book
