Felt pretty slow going at first and very YA and unpolished, but as it got going I started to enjoy it more, I think I’ll keep reading on in the series.
Started out good liked the base ideas, but further along he seems to be focusing on how as you get to later stages that makes you somehow a more enlightened Christian and due to that you must be a liberal Christian. The initial focus on doubt and faith and the journey I really appreciated though.
Overall been a great series, characters were great I really enjoyed it. Only critique like I put in the second book some of the plot points seemed pretty predictable.

Book 2 in this series significantly improved, went very fast paced and couldn’t set it down. Only critique is that at times it felt like Vernon would have all the luck in the world and get everything his way and then a 180 and everything would fall apart overall a progression for him but jumped around a bit.
