Not really sure how to rate it, because I went in expecting something based off the synopsis and reviews but that's not what I got soo not quite sure how I feel. But for now I'll give this a 3.5
I finished the book in about 4-5 hours so it was gripping enough to hold my attention specially with me being in a reading slump.
cant decide a 3 or 3.5?Second book I am reading by [a:Ruth Ware 9013543 Ruth Ware https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1562697198p2/9013543.jpg] and I like this better than the first one I read by her which was [b:The Lying Game 43103862 The Lying Game Ruth Ware https://s.gr-assets.com/assets/nophoto/book/50x75-a91bf249278a81aabab721ef782c4a74.png 52694768] .The book was really fun to read I loved;-The isolated setting - The various descriptions of how it is to be a host in a chalet - The snowy descriptions -The descriptions of snoop etc.The book would have been an easy 5 star if it weren't for the fact that I guessed the killer from the first few pages itself!! That was so disappointing coz it was so easy to guess the killer:(I felt like the ending was soo flat coz the buildup was amazingg! it was so easy for me to guess the killer coz the chapters alternated between Erin's pov and Liz's pov so I felt that it was pretty obvious that one of them was the killer. I really liked Erin and Danny and so glad that they both got a happy ending:) I have heard that [a:Ruth Ware 9013543 Ruth Ware https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1562697198p2/9013543.jpg]'s other book [b:The Turn of the Key 57478619 The Turn of the Key Ruth Ware https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1639305573l/57478619.SY75.jpg 62793178] is amazing so cant wait to read that!!
Really enjoyed this! I loved the authors note at the end too;)
The graphic novel has a great message! And I recommend for all middle grade readers or any reader actually:))

I gave it to my brother to read and he also loves it!!
Get this for yourself or a kid:)
I received an ARC of this book through Netgalley.
I love this! Get this book for your little siblings or your kids, they will love it! As soon as I was done reading this I gave it to my little brother and he LOVED it so much,he wanted the book to be longer lol.
I received an ARC of this book through Netgalley.
I love this even more than Belle's part because this pov is not shown in the original story or even movie and it showed us his childhood and how he turned into the beast.
“Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind” - Love this quote!
Also while reading I took screenshots of so many pages because the illustrations were so beautiful and I was touched by many of the things the beast said.
While the manga from Belle's pov was so bright because that matched her optimism, the Beast's story began as dark as his moods and gradually brightens as Belle's impact grows on him.
Some of the parts did feel a bit repetitive because I had just finished reading Belle's manga but other than that no complains! Really enjoyed this
Highly recommend these 2 volumes, specially if u loved the original story and movie.
Thank you to Netgalley, Tokyopop and Disney Manga for the ARC of this book:)
This was a very fun and enjoyable read! It was so interesting to see Belle's thoughts and feelings and reading this made me want to re=watch the movie!
The story of Beauty and the Beast is one of my fav Disney stories and I love this so much!
Read this if you loved the story:)
Thank you to Netgalley, Tokyopop and Disney Manga for the ARC of this book:)
Wanted to love this but wasn't a big fan:(
I feel like I would have loved the book if it were shorter. It felt like the details went on for too long and throughout half the book I was skimming thru it.
This did feel very claustrophobic and many of the situations felt very heart-pounding. And there were some good twists towards the end but like I said if it had been shorter I might have enjoyed it more.

This was so easy to get to read and I really enjoyed reading about Bronx and its history!
While reading this I could see everything play out in front of me like a movie and I was thinking how this could be a great movie or even tv-show!
Ppl have compared this to stranger things which I haven't watched it, but now I wanna watch it n see how similar these two are!!
The only complaint I had is that I wanted more of Raquel and Charlieze relationship. Other than this no complaints:))
Also the family relationships and friendships in this was so wholesome and some parts made me laugh, smile, cry, etc.
Thank you so much to the author, netgalley and sourcebooks fire for providing an e-arc in exchange for an honest review.
“The only thing she could be absolutely certain about was her own self. But that was a lonely, chilling thought.”
How do I even start...lemme see..so I wasn't even 10 pages in and I was soo close to sobbing! Beth who is the protagonist finds herself orphaned with her brother Sam and her Sister Molly. The book kept me hooked from the 1st page and when I felt like it was getting slow and boring Lesley Pearse dropped the biggest twist/ surprise (idk what to call it lol) and I was engrossed in it once again. I knew that the twist was coming coz I accidentally read a spoiler on goodreads but when it came I was so surprised.
Throughout the book you start to care for the characters and you feel like you are on a journey with Beth, going through all the difficulties & problems she faced. But even with all those hardships we find her in the end a very strong and independent woman. You know there's this saying, “Hardships often prepare ordinary people for an extraordinary destiny.” and I felt that this was so true in Beth's case. I felt like every bad thing that could possibly go wrong went wrong and just when you think things are looking up for them..something bad happens and your heart ends up broken with Beth's but the fact that she came out so strong in the end shows how strong she was on the inside.
Also another thing I love abt the book is how every character is very realistic (cheaters, money mindedness, gamblers, thieves, etc.)
However I do feel like the ending was a bit rushed, like I felt that the author wanted to wrap the story up quickly. Because if the story had been for another 100 pages or so and if it had been wrapped up properly I would have definitely given this a 5 star rating.
This book got me hooked on the truecolors series and its like my life in a book lol
Great book
First book by Jennifer Hillier and I really enjoyed it!!
“You know what it's like having a child? ... It's like your heart walking out the door on two legs, vulnerable and unprotected. It's scary as hell.”
I loved her writing style it was very easy to read and the book was fast-paced. (the contents of the book weren't easy to read, but the writing style made it a bit easier)
“I've learned not to make comparisons. Hell is hell, in all it's incarnations.”
I guessed the twist a bit early on into the book but that didn't ruin the reading experience. The only reason I guessed the twist was because, remember the part where Marin got a tiny suspicion of Sadie but then she quickly dismissed it? and I remember thinking if she can suspect Sadie what about Sal? Coz the way he was acting was pretty sus.
I am the eldest of 7 and I have seen the fears my mom and dad always have when we go out in public/crowded places. (which is prob why we don't go out a lot lol) And this book went into more depth about how it is to lose a child and it was so haunting to read about.
“Love is unpredictable, and love hurts. Trust is reliable, dependable, and solid. ”
I loved the representation in the book we got characters of various ethnic minorities and skin colors which I don't see in a lot of thrillers and I really appreciated it here.
The book definitely lives up to all its hype and this is the perfect book to get you out of a slump: it's fast-paced and gripping what more can you ask for?

Such a unique and fun read!! Unlike anything i have read before. From the beginning itself we know who the killer is and since it is told from his pov we get a glimpse into his mind and thoughts which was kinda creepy at times.
This has the book within a book trope and the other pov was the true crime memoir of eve black. The memoir was written in such a way that you feel like you are reading an actual true crime book! And there were many times while reading where I got the chills coz some parts were so descriptive and I felt like I was watching a movie. Actually it was so freaky at times that I had to stop and take a break and then continue. Im glad I read it as soon as I bought it coz otherwise it would have been on my shelf for a loongg time. If you love true crime, book within a book, told from serial killers pov you will prob enjoy this!! Highly recommend:)
I was expecting a plot twist but sadly it wasn't there....
The plot itself was very interesting just not how i expected it to be and some parts of the book didn't make sense like for example i everyone had a loss of emotion how did the boys feel emotion?(Jack)
I also felt that this book had ended rather abruptly, but I just got burning hope its better:)
This is the autobiography of Lucas Derion. He has written about all the things that happened to him in his childhood, how he was failed by everyone he put his trust in,the men who raped him. The way he has written it makes your heart just break into a million pieces and makes you want to comfort him. It is a very easy read and I cried several times while reading it.Highly highly highly recommend you check this out please!! You wont regret it.
Much respect to the author for having the courage to share this story with the world.
below is the link for the book it is free on amazon.

“A man who can't love but desperately needs to be loved is a dangerous thing indeed.”
Read this if you love;
-Short chapters
-Multiple povs
-Past and present timelines
-A plot that is not very twisty but shocking in a WTF kinda way
-Mother daughter relationships
-The writing style is soo easy to read(its a 440+ page book but read like a 220 pages)
So other than the above I loved how the character development of Laurel felt so raw and real and at times it was just so hard to read because it felt like you were in that situation with her.
Throughout the book it takes you on a wild roller-coaster of emotions curiousness, sadness then anger, shock, sadness again, happy, hopeful and the last page; an emotional punch.
I don't think the book was meant to be twisty but like I said before it was very shocking.
I have a small tip for you if you haven't read the blurb for this yet, then go into the book blind coz you might have a better experience with it than I did at being even more shocked:) Hope that makes sense.
3.75First book by [a:Lisa Jewell 93504 Lisa Jewell https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1272239443p2/93504.jpg] and I really enjoyed it!. The book alternates between 3 pov; Saffyre's chapters in the past, Owen and Cate's povs from the present. The book is really well written and I loved how it ended, no loose ends and well wrapped up. Half of the time I felt really sorry for Owen coz I felt like he was one of those people who was always misunderstood.“It's amazing how boring you can get away with being when you're pretty. No one seems to notice. When you're pretty everyone just assumes you must have a great life. People are so short-sighted, sometimes. People are so stupid.”Fav characters from the book are hands down Owen and Saffyre , coz I felt like they were the ones who were outcast and misunderstood most of the time and I felt like I could relate to them half the time.Towards the end, the book took an interesting turn which I am not sure I like but overall a great read and I cant wait to read more from [a:Lisa Jewell 93504 Lisa Jewell https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1272239443p2/93504.jpg]!
3.25
I requested this on netgalley coz I wanted to read more crime thrillers/thrillers with cops or FBI or smthg and this was not as good as the other books I have read. But I enjoyed it.
Im still trying to wrap my head around it coz soo many things were going on at once.
The book started off really strong, the prologue was like a gut punch so I had very high hopes going into it. But it didn't match my expectations.
I didn't feel attached to any of the characters, but I feel like if I had read the other books in the series I would have so might read n see my thoughts on them:)
The reason I'm giving this a 3.25 is even though it didn't match my expectations, I did enjoy reading this and it was thrilling, especially that last chapter!!
Also in the authors note she explained how this was loosely based on an encounter she had had and I loved how she took the what ifs in that situation and had written this. Excited to read more by her:)
3.5
To sum up this book in a few words, we see Hazel(an introvert, who has just started college) who encounters some drunk guys who acted rashly and a few days letter one of the guys end up dead. And Hazel is brought in for questioning. And while all this is going on throughout the whole book we got inserts from online diary entries from an account called dead_papers who basically confesses to killing that guy. And the police suspect that Hazel is the one behind this account(dead_papers).And we also see how Hazel works with 2 other students to try and clear her name
So I enjoyed this one! Loved the online diary aspect of it. But Hazel did annoy me at times.
In the part where she took the necklace, I mean WTF. Everyone knows that u r not supposed to mess with a crime scene and this woman went and not only got her fingerprints all over it, she also took a PIECE of EVIDENCE.(it was her necklace but still?) Also I hated how she was arguing with everyone and and had this 'ughh whateva' kinda attitude. And Maeve!!!!! I pictured Maeve as Maeve from one of us is lying coz their attitudes n everything were pretty similar. In the beginning I was so annoyed with her too, coz it seemed like she only cared abt herself, did whatever she wanted, smoked wherever she wanted. But towards the end she kinda started growing on me. Hazel too
So overall even tho I was annoyed for the above mentioned stuff. I did enjoy the book coz it was set in the year 2000 in a college campus and it was so interesting to read about. Will def be continuing with the series:)
Also the authors writing style was very easy to read and I flew through the book in a about a day. Loved it!
Thank you to Ninestar Press, Netgalley and the author for this copy of the e-arc:)
3.5
I wasn't invested in the story, coz it felt repetitive but decided to continue and after the 50% mark it started getting more interesting!
Cant wait to start the 2nd book!
My fav character is Natalie:)))
Matthew needs to get checked, the way his mood changes is insane lolAlso there is no need for him to act like a dick towards Jo coz she was genuinely worried abt him, hopefully he will be better in the 2nd book:)
Thank you so much [a:R.M.T. Jay|21526192|R.M.T. Jay|https://s.gr-assets.com/assets/nophoto/user/u_50x66-632230dc9882b4352d753eedf9396530.png] for the review copy!:))
I was never bored while reading this and it kept me flipping pages till the very end!
This is the kind of book that is FILLED TO THE BRIM with unlikable characters but you cant stop reading it.
I had so much fun reading this:) Highly recommend

This wasn't just a story about a serial killer, it was a story about pain, sisterly relationships, how traumatic events can fuck you up, how your childhood effects ur adulthood and so much more.
We got povs from Adeline, D.D and the rose killer. And my fav one was Adeline's coz it was gripping to read how Adeline was going through life as the daughter and sister of serial killers. She also had a condition where she couldn't feel pain and the book explored that topic and I learnt a lot about that condition as well.
This would have been a 5 star for me if it weren't for the fact that the book was SOO slow and i felt let down by the ending:(
The book was very relatable from the illustrations to the things the main character said/did and it made me feel seen.
Going into the book I didn't realize that it will hit me this much because the blurb doesn't do the book any justice.
The book showed us how the mc realized what he had and how he did little little changes in his life that in the end made a big impact and I got a great message from the book.
Highly recommend this!
Thank you so much to NetGalley, Ablaze/ Diamond Book Distributors and the author for the arc!
