See allOne of the hardest reads I've tackled it took an eternity to get through. But I thoroughly enjoyed Kafka's dark dreamscape of a novel.
Tough to get into at first the prose is straight up and quite emotionless, but the further you get in, the more you get drawn in to the web of L.A underworld and crooked detectives. All of the main characters hold their own with the protagonist now really being revealed until towards the end, great read.
Just re-read this one. The epitome of Nordic Noir for me. Glorious pacing, and more believable characters than many other authors I've encountered in the genre.
