One of the things that caught my attention in the book was the cover, and like the cover, the story is adorable. I totally recommend it when you're looking for a cute and simple book to read.
I really love that both characters were writers and, yes, is love at first sight but at the same time is slow burn.
Another thing I enjoyed about the book is the friendship between Maya and Alisa, and of course, Maya and Celine.

This is my battle and I won't shy back from it.
I was excited about this book but at the same time I was afraid, I'm not a big fan of the kidnapping trope and Cora said that this book wasn't going to be like Remo and Serafina and I was more excited about Maddox than Marcella, I'm not gonna lie (of course I'm a clown).
Marcella was a great surprise, a character who stood out from the start. For me, Marcella was the one who carried the whole book. It is obvious that she is the princess of Luca, the princess of the family and that she has been spoiled, but at the same time she knows what she's worth, she's very clear about who she is and she's a character with a strong personality but without becoming annoying. I like her determination to work for her father.
And it is in moments like this that you see a small evolution in the traditions of the Famiglia that I really loved.
Marcella's relationship with Amo was wonderful and I adored Amo (I was curious about Amo because it's going to be Greta's loving interest and my girl deserves the best). The Vitiello in this book stand out and I loved to see Luca looking at Aria in love. And the conversation of Marci, Luca and Amo, well, thoughts I think.
Now we go with Maddox and the MC, well, I hate them (not Maddox obviously).
Maddox was a character I was looking forward to but it didn't make a big impression on me, is not a bad character but neither is a character I adored, for now is totally indifferent, I hope that changes in the second part.
I didn't like the relationship between Marci and him, having two books I thought it was going to be a slowburn, but probably I'm gonna love them in the second book.
And that ending, I have two theories and I don't know what to think, just wait for the second book.
and for the last: satan
(And yes, I have a theory of how amo and greta can meet)
3.5/5

Lauren Layne has done it again, another book and another couple I fell completely in love with. I'm I am so happy to have had the opportunity to read this book and meet these characters and this couple.
The synopsis of the book and the cover were a total yes for me, but reading the story, reading these characters and meeting them has been wonderful. Violet is a character dedicated to others but, thanks to Cain, our protagonist, and her best friend, she begins to see for herself, to make herself heard, and that was something I liked reading. I liked how she enjoyed the little things in life just because she felt like doing, eating, or saying something.
Cain was the push that Violet needed, but he was also someone who decided to earn things for himself, not because of who he is.
At first glance these two characters have nothing in common and are the opposite, but as the days go by and they get to know each other, they see that they have some things in common and that the attraction they have is undeniable. What you bring to each other is wonderful and I have adored you, and the epilogue is a very nice thing to read. Thank you for so much, Lauren.

Another book by Jay Mclean that makes you cry, laugh and fall in love with her characters and her story.
I already fell in love with Jamie and Holden in the first book and that ending was very bittersweet because the fact that five years had passed between both books made me crazy and with a thousand questions.
Questions that Jay has been able to solve and make me cry in the process.
Jamie and Holden again conquer my heart with their history, with such human decisions that hurt, but without a doubt, what stands out most from the book are not those decisions that in that situation we would have made, but that growth that both characters have had, individually and as a couple. Jamie here, in this book, has excelled and found herself so that she can stay. And Holden and I are happy about it.
Special mention to the illusion that has made me read and to be able to see certain characters that I adore
“You have given yourself to me, which means I get all of you, the past, your thoughts, your baggage. I want all of it. No holding back.”
This book was funny, sexy and such amazing rom-com from Meghan Quinn.
I always love the way Meghan writes and her characters and stories, this books wasn't the exception.
Cora was an amazing character to read, and I love her friendship with Stella, Greer (I have to read their books) and Keiko (please, she is so nerd, was so funny, i love her). I love a book with a good friendship in it. Pike was a surprise cause at the beginning I thought he was grumpy and a lonely guy, but the way he was with Cora, im in love.
The trope “marriage of convenience” was amazing and funny to read specially when Cora wanted to get the divorce and Pike wanted to stay married. These two
