It's probably not fair for me to review this book. If you have any familiarity with music theory, play an instrument passably, or can pick out a Starrah top line this book will feel like the most remedial of remedial classes.
If those don't apply to you, I can imagine this being a good gateway to thinking about pop music more critically.
I know it's very Senior English Seminar of me, but I'll be damned if I don't find something new every time I re-read this
This is probably more like a 3.5, but rounding up because I like the author. Sweet and uncomplicated, and will make a fantastic hallmark or Netflix movie when adapted.
