While a good book, it didn't live up to the hype I expected. I wanted something more than I was given. By the last 70 pages I wanted to quit and move on, but I pushed through. 3 stars is a very generous review.

I didn't love this book anywhere near as much as I loved The Song of Achilles.

I enjoyed the insight into the late and great Carrie Fisher but it left me wanting more.

Ignore the reviews and give Aftermath a shot. It's worth it.

The absolute best Star Wars book I've read so far. If you watched The Clone Wars and didn't read this yet, shame on you. Literally took me less than half a week to read it. I couldn't put it down.

Honestly, one of the worst books I've read in a long time. You can't take established characters and make them seem so unlike themselves that it just falls flat. Also, if I have to see Luke move noodles with the Force one more time I swear I'll go mad.

This book left me both satisfied, wanting more and on the brink of tears. It's beautifully written and beautifully crafted. One of the best books I've ever read. Hands down. 1080 pages of absolute craftsmanship.

This is Murakami's 2nd to worst book, in my opinion. This book was widely praised but it wasn't the Murakami I love. It wasn't Kafka, it wasn't 1Q84, it just was. And that's where I leave this.
