i really love maggie osborne's female characters, i find them so fun and refreshing. i liked the conceit of this novel a lot better than the last maggie osborne i picked up (silver lining) and i had a good time with this
this book was ass. at one point lil homie barfed and then immediately kissed someone full on the mouth. deranged
this book was fun! the conceit was a little weird and contrived and made her a little less likeable as a character early on, and there's like a weird thread of cringiness running through the whole novel (girl stop saying poke), but i brave little soldiered my way through that because i liked the rough-around-the-edgedness of lowdown as a character and i am tired of reading about quirky girls with no personality <3 i waffled between 3.75 and 4 on this but settled on 3.75 because i hate the term “poking”
literally justice for luc!!! really tired of american women writing monogamy-challenged french men in their books like that shit is so trite lmfao but also luc did nothing wrong and asher was a boring whiny dork
once again this shit was so meh. also the characters were incredibly frustrating at times and the ending was underwhelming
i wanted so badly to be a hater but unfortunately this book kind of fucks ngl. it's very by bottoms for bottoms (girl i get it he is BIG) but like. miss hazelwood popped off a little bit in her reylo fanfic and i cannot take that from her
