this book was so fucking long jesus christ it was so fucking long. that said it did fuck though. slightly less than outlander fucked but it did fuck.
that was delightful. the little .25 is just because the puzzles could've been a little spicier and i wish they'd gotten engaged or at least kissed at the end, but i think the author was leaving it open for potential sequels, which. i'd buy it so like. i can't be mad
this was cute!! i enjoyed this a lot. mamie flipping out about frank's secret got on my nerves a small bit, but overall this was a really nice story and i had a lot of fun with it
again i really wanted to love this because i love arranged marriage but once again it's just like. meh. probably worse than bridge kingdom if i had to compare tho

this book sucked ass lmfao. also it was weirdly preachy and self-aggrandizing about the fact that it didn't translate any of its non-english dialogue but the non-english dialogue was also terrible and also she did nothing at all with it. the french (i speak french hi) was like illegibly bad like i literally wish she'd translated it just so i can know for sure what she was trying to say lmfao
honestly a part of me wants to give this a 4.75 because the ending broke my heart (miss jenkins reid i am begging you to give me ONE happy ending just ONE) but i cannot in good conscience do so because this book fucks so hard. this was a reread for me brought on by the midness of the show which goes to illustrate the fuckability
i liked the writing style but the main couple didn't really do it for me (esp the girl she was annoying lmfao) and i found it all a bit underwhelming tbh

i'm not sensitive to sexual assault in fiction, it doesn't bother me, but there's like a goofy amount of sexual assault in this book. that said it is incredibly fucking good
honestly this shit is corny as hell but it doesn't matter because i love a good campy melodramatic moment and this book was SO much fun
this book is the most sexist girlboss book i have ever read in my whole life and it's a tragedy because i wanted to read about big tang dynasty asskicking robots
