Wonderfully witty writing, absolutely relatable for any daydreamers and empaths who have that one situationship they can never get out of their minds.
Quick read, hard to put down!
I enjoyed this third novel almost as much as the first, but not quite as much as the second.
The newer characters lacked some interest, and I found myself more intrigued often by the romantic spark between the two main sleuths than the mystery itself!
I enjoyed this novel even more than the first, which is often a difficult accomplishment in sequels. While many main characters remained the same, the setting and mystery had a fresh sense of curiosity.
Increased romantic element in this novel was a nice addition in my opinion!
As someone who has not yet read Jane Austen’s legendary novels (I know a book lover’s crime!!), I came into this with minimal past knowledge or expectations of relevance or accuracy related to Austen’s work.
I was quickly enthralled in the storyline however, and became very fond of our main mystery sleuths. I found the ending not too obvious, but not too far fetched. Overall a clever cozy mystery that fans of Bridgerton would likely enjoy!
