I get what the book is trying to do, but this is not a style I usually enjoy and is not something I want to read right now. This is going back into the TBR pile; I will come back to this later.

I've been trying to finish this book since October. It's fine. I like the characters ok. The story is there. I liked the first book in this series more. The pacing is slow and I just don't care how it turns out. I wanted to like this more than I actually do. Maybe I'll stick it back in the list and try to finish it later.

I liked the sequel better than this one.
